Jason Smith was inducted into the Canadian Mortgage Hall of Fame in 2014 by the Canadian Association of Accredited Mortgage Professionals. Jason has a long history in the mortgage business and is a pioneer in mortgage origination technology. Jason Smith is a highly regarded technology entrepreneur with more than 20 years’ experience building and leading companies in North America. He is President and Chief Executive Officer of Real Matters.
Jason was a founder, director and executive of Basis100, which he built from a handful of employees into one of the largest publicly traded technology providers within the mortgage banking industry worldwide. Basis100 was sold in 2004 to Filogix.
A leader in his community, Jason is a director of several corporations and is the Chairman of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation.
